rustic winter crumble
Winter here lately hasn't been so wintery. The last few nights however have been a bit more chilly, giving me an excuse to whip up a winter fave of mine - apple and rhubarb crumble!

Begin by preheating your oven to 180 degrees celsius. Cut the apples and rhubarb, making sure they aren't too small so that when you cook them they hold their shape. Place into a pot, add the spices and water.

Over a medium to high flame, cook for roughly 15 minutes or until the rhubarb and apple are soft.
For the crumble place all dry ingredients into a mixing bowl. Mix together and add in Nuttelex or butter. Use your fingers to massage it all together, making sure everything is coated.
Evenly distribute your crumble over top of the cooked fruit filling.
Cook until the crumble is golden and the fruit filling is bubbling up through the edges - this should take around 30 minutes.
Serve with a dollop of coyo and fresh berries. Enjoy for breakfast, dessert or whenever you like!

I promise, you'll love it!
